Crazy Traffic Laws,……..

This morning a friend on the forum posted she had gotten a ticket for no shoes, along with failure to yield. The latter got her the ticket for no shoes. She later disclosed that her attitude probably wasn’t too good. The officer in my opinion could probably have been a bit more professional too. But then again I wasn’t there. According to this,… It Is Legal. Local laws could possibly supersede here and I couldn’t find a law pertaining to Florence. But there is no state law stating it is illegal to drive bare footed, except on a motorcycle. You learn something everyday.

All of this got me to thinking and looking on the net for crazy, silly, funny laws on the books. Here is some of what I found. My own personal comments are in parentheses. There will probably more of these at a later date.

ALABAMA Traffic Laws

It is illegal for a driver to be blindfolded while operating a vehicle. (Makes sense to me)

You may not drive barefooted. (SEE ABOVE)

It is legal to drive the wrong way down a one-way street if you have a lantern attached to the front of your automobile. (Be back in a minute, I’m gone to find a lantern and test this on out on Mobile St)

You must have windshield wipers on your car. (But you don’t need a windshield.) (Just wow)

ARIZONA Traffic Laws

Glendale -
Cars may not be driven in reverse. (So once you pull into a parking space, make sure you can pull forward,… okie dokie)

No vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour. (Thinking this is a good thing)

Women may not drive in a house coat. (Aww crap)

It is a misdemeanor to shoot at any kind of game from a moving vehicle, unless the target is a whale. (Going to get my whale license and drive by the state troopers office)

Arcadia -
Peacocks have the right of way to cross any street, including driveways. (I always wanted a sign that said Yield To Peacocks)

Alhambra -
You cannot leave your car on the street overnight without the proper permit. (And you shouldn’t do that near High Street Apts either)

It is illegal to wash your car in the street. (Kind of makes sense)

Long Beach-
Cars are the only item allowed in a garage. (Ohhhhh kay)
