Frostbite Gives Back,….

This area is lucky to have people and businesses that donate time and money to worthwhile causes. Frostbite is one of those establishments that is always helping and giving back to the community.

This Thursday, August 2nd, Frostbite will donate 10% of their daily profits to the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund.

This fund benefits the Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RNICU) at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children. Money raised will be used to purchase two Giraffe Warmers, four Giraffe Incubators and a Giraffe Omni bed as well as provide funding for the Family Support program which funds a staff liaison to serve parents and families during their infants’ stay in the RNICU and after discharge.

The Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund was started by Amy and Chris George in November 2005 in memory of their daughter who passed away in the Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RNICU) at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children. Melissa and her twin sister, Ann Catherine, were born 14 weeks early, both weighing less than two pounds. Ann Catherine spent the first 68 days of her life in the RNICU. Amy and Chris were so touched by the care that both of their daughters received and wanted to do something to give back.

This is a worthy cause so please go support Frostbite at the corner of Chisholm Road and Pine St this coming Thursday and in doing so you could be helping save a babies life. And continue to support all of the mom and pop businesses as they support you and me.
