The Next Starting QB For Bama Will Be,……

No one knows for sure right now. I truly believe Coach Saban when he says he doesn’t know. Ms Terry was at practice earlier this week but I haven’t heard her pick of who she likes. Coach said she would tell him probably when he got home that evening.

They do have a scrimmage today and Jacob Coker, the front runner for the job, is expected to get some reps after injuring his foot. David Cornwell, Alec Morris and Blake Barnett are all expected to get some too. The thing with me is, Coker was supposed to be this hot shot kid, as good as Jamis Winston, according to Jimbo Fisher from Florida State, where he transferred from. Jimbo apparently either straight up lied or doesn’t know how to evaluate quarterback talent. Either way, I’m disappointed in Coker because he hasn’t shown the  talent to play the position and has not shown leadership skills. I can understand him not starting last year. It takes a while to learn a new system and gel with team mates. He has had the time to get that part right and apparently hasn’t. Someone has to step up and take the position. Today could be that day and even if one separates from the pack today, we may not know which one until just before the Wisconsin game.

Which ever one wins the job will have a very good offensive line much like Greg McElroy did leading Bama to a National Championship. He wasn’t flashy and was a good manager of the game. He simply got the job done.

Roll Tide Roll!!
