I think most of us here in the Shoals have followed the story of Jacob and Jeremiah Sanders and know the details. The family can now have a bit of closure and can lay these boys to rest. I cannot begin to imagine how the parents have felt through this ordeal. I just can't. Losing a child has to be one of the worst nightmares a parent can endure,... unless it is losing 2 children at once. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, band mates and coworkers of these brothers.
While this is a bit of closure for the families it is also a bit of closure for the EMAs of both Colbert and Lauderdale Counties and the many volunteers that searched and gave of their time to the efforts of finding Jacob and Jeremiah. They never gave up,... and should be commended for their efforts.
And finally, the people that became enveloped in the search by listening and watching news reports, reading local stories and reading what friends had to say about these two boys. It almost got to the point you knew them through the thoughts written by others. They were very well thought of and will be missed by those that knew and loved them. God speed.
