Good Bye Coffee High,....

Saturday April 16, 2016,…. the class of 1977 at Coffee High School said goodbye to the bricks and mortar of a building where we once attended, studied, slept and made many memories. We made more memories today.
The building that once housed our sacred high school will be torn down soon. Gone will be the classrooms, hallways, cafeteria where we spent 4 years of our lives. Roaming the halls today though,…. the school board has made the right decision to tear down and rebuild.  I hate to admit that, but it is what it is. So, I guess it is time. Coffee has been gone now as a school for a few years and now we await the bricks being demolished. It is bittersweet for certain.

But on this Saturday,… the 16th of April, 2016, we came together to remember, to honor and cherish those memories of days gone by,… and hopefully make new memories in the future. We had a great day today,… many thanks to those that made it possible. It was so good to see everyone.

  4. I was admiring the art, quality materials, and craftsmanship that went into our school building that you don't see these days. Like the marble in the entrance foyer. But it is just a building. Spending time with the people, our classmates, was the most valuable.
