The Ups & Downs of Ups & Downs Thrift Store,...

Sometimes you just have to do the right thing. The right thing to do in this case is give back a chair that was wrongly given to a local thrift store, Ups & Downs. The owner has a price tag of either $250 or $225 on it. I've seen both prices quoted. Will Ups & Downs do the right thing? Time will tell.

The chair has some monetary value to be certain but to the one it belongs to, it has a sentimental value that you cannot put a price on. Do the right thing Ups & Downs,.. give the chair back. I doubt that happens as I continue to hear bad things from there. A place that supposedly helps people.

Here is what the owner of the chair shared on her facebook. Make note that the owner of Ups & Downs is threatening a lawsuit for slander.

  1. If it wasn't supposed to have been carried off it could be considered stolen. Owner should visit appropriate law enforcement agency for her location and report it stolen. Anyone with a conscience and sense of right and wrong would have returned it promptly upon learning it was not part of yard sale contents. JMHO

  2. And yet she still made a profit off of it,... the whole fiasco has truly been up and down.

  3. Owner of Ups & Downs jacked the price of the chair up to $1,000 before the woman came from Cullman to purchase it for the baby. Owner then claimed she sold it for $10 to her boyfriend. She didn't come clean until the woman from Cullman showed up while the news crews were there. This is all verified in screen shots of the conversation between the owner of the store and several other people.
