College Coaches On The Hot Seat,…..

Oh how the mighty have fallen. The number 15 Texas Longhorns lost to Brigham Young 40-21 yesterday in a game where they should have won. Since playing Alabama in the NC game,… Texas has fallen almost off the charts. Coach Mac Brown may be seeing his last year as the coach at Texas.

Lane (Lame) Kiffin, the spoiled brat at Southern Cal, surely will be on the hot seat now as they lost to Washington St yesterday. Athletic Director Pat Haden said just before the season that Kiffin’s job was safe and that Kiffin had his support. If I were a USCw alum I’d want them both fired. The once proud Trojan program as fallen to the wayside and is no longer prominent.

Dan Mullen, coach at Mississippi St may see his seat heating up a bit. The Bulldogs seem to have fallen behind their in state rivals, Ole Miss Rebels. That won’t go over well in Starkville. They need to be competitive this season or there could be louder rumblings of discontent.

Missouri’s Gary Pinkel also could see his seat heating up this year although I think he may last this year. If they don’t do well this year, Pinkel’s name may be at the top of the list for next year. The Tiger’s have to step it up a couple of notches to be competitive in the SEC. My personal wish is they leave the SEC altogether to save his job allowing Clemson to be added to the SEC. Clemson would be a better fit and would be natural rivals for South Carolina and Georgia. But that is just me wishing out loud.
