Alabama-Louisiana Monroe,…. The Good, The Bad, The Ugly,….

Well,…. The Tide bounced back and got revenge so to speak against the La Monroe War hawks. The last time these two teams played back in 2007 the war hawks took home a victory. Coach Saban was in his first year installing his “Process”. My how times have changed.

The Good,… Fewer turnovers. Bama had an interception and zero fumbles. That is much better but still needs to improve in this area. Adam Griffith made 2 nice field goals. The talent is there, he just needs to get his head on straight. The defense. They held La Monroe to 92 total yards. And against a spread offensive team. That has been Bama’s Achilles heel.

The Bad,…. Dropped passes. The receivers have to start catching the catchable passes in order for Bama to compete in the SEC. The dropped passes are unacceptable. The incompleted passes from Coker weren’t just on him, the receivers must catch the ball when it’s in their hands. Penalties still plague the Tide. Seven of them during yesterdays game. One shouldn’t have counted as the refs seemed to throw one just because Saban complained about lineman down field to the SEC office. Was it the refs way of getting back? We’ll never know.

The Ugly,…. Any injury is ugly. Jonathan Allen has a shoulder injury that flares up from time to time. He will be day to day this week.
